Re-branded Message Board called HyperTV/Radio

The board has very little to do with Radio 4 anymore, except for maybe the owner's willingness to proscribe comment (more freedom of opinions being one of the supposed selling points as the R4 boards closed down). I am Science Mod in name only now, and the comment below, on the 'Unnecessary Change' thread, was deleted:

I just had to de-warn myself, after getting a warning for saying the above, apparently. Also, Hyperstar has 'found out' my 'plan'...

To sum up the nature of this board, no-one is allowed to see what is inside until they register, and once they register, they can't unregister. The board has 3-4 pages of users now, which will look quite impressive when it is advertised to prospective new users, but many existing users aren't happy about how the board has changed in just a week. Someone called 'Hyperstar' with a rather idiosyncratic grammatical style, is 'Banned' from the Digital Spy forums, and Hyperstar advertised this board as 'emailheaven' on Radio 4's boards.

This is a rather pointless post, as no-one who is not already 'inside' can read it, and even if I posted it on the 'Feedback' forum I made (but don't regard as 'mine'), it wouldn't make much of a difference.

It really would be difficult to make it up... although 'Little Shop of Horrors' comes close.

But I won't remove the link above. I don't censor, unless the members vote for it, and I don't threaten suspensions on people who post links. Anyone who hasn't already registered with this board, though, should note that they won't be allowed to un-register, though they can certainly be warned and postmodded. Hyperstar want to build up [her?] membership...

The Digital Spy ban was ages ago now dude, Can't even remember what I done back then. One thing about the Digital Spy mods is that they perma-ban posters without even dishing out a warning ban if a mod is in a bad mood

It's impossible to know if Digital Spy were justified or not, but given your current performance, it can't be ruled out. You did give me back my forum to mod, to be fair, but then again, inconsistency remains the only constant. The forum becane the TV & Radio boards, then the TV forum went into Radio's 'off topic' board, then the forums became Virtual Big Brother, following a 'back to basics' return to Radio 4, and now they're the 'Radio Forums' again...

What from will the next re-invention take?

It should be noted, for anyone just visiting this board, that after the Points Of View boards were scrapped by the BBC (around 2014, but don't quote me on that), several people promoted alternatives. Hyperstar's picked up a big following, and basically blew the one chance of a real successor.

This board doesn't pretend to be that, but I remain committed to finding and promoting one. Meantime...
