With our(?) first member (and possibly future site owner?), I become accutely aware of the need for a separate category with a 'Welcome' thread, and maybe a sticky. I was never the kind of person who said 'Hi' when joining a board. I just got stuck in with the discussions. So this thread is the closest anyone will get to that separate category (while I'm in charge, anyhow). And hi, tellinithowitis

Hello.
Very glad to discover this place. I have long wondered why no-one has started up a proper discussion forum for R4, away from the waste of space and waste of time that is the fascistic R4 messageboards....
I've only been lurking on the R4 messageboards for a couple of years, but I truly do believe that the regular folks who contribute therein should be the people in charge of running the BBC - and the country.
Good luck.

Thank you, sleepylagoon, and welcome. Sorry for not responding sooner, but the Feedback board has been quieter than I would have liked, to put it mildly It's a shame, because as I often note, the BBC don't give the same status to Radio as they do Television. The Points of View board, for example has a Television section, and a 'BBC' section, but when anyone uses the latter to argue for Radio having its own board, they get the brush off, and recommendations to contact individual radio stations. Why not contact BBC1 when you want to discuss 'Strictly Come Dancing'? Double standards, thass why... There is a new board that opened just before the latest board closures, and has a lot more traffic. You may have seen it on the 'Alternative boards' thread. It takes a bit of getting used to, though: s4.zetaboards.com/Ex_Radio_4/index/
