I'm looking forward to this. Mark Heap should make a very good Rincewind, and it's so long since I read the book (actually, I seem to recall it being a sort of graphic novel) that it'll be almost like new material. With my book-reading generally stalling around the time of The Fifth Elephant (ooh, I just saw what he did there), so that there's one book stubbornly staying out of sight so that I can't pick up the thread again, it'll be nice to get a fix of Pratchett in some form... Feel silly for not also mentioning when it's on, today (Weds) at 11pm, the first of four weekly episodes...

And only a quarter of an hour long per ep... it had barely started when it had finished. Still, as a graphic novel, I guess it wasn't his longest work. Interesting to see that his daughter Rhianna is likely to take over from him with the Discworld books. She was on Woman's hour last week talking about the Tomb Raider reboot, which she was 'tasked with writing chores for', whatever that means... Oh my stars, she wrote for Heavenly Sword and Mirror's Edge, two games which I have brought, albeit at a discount

Though I must admit I never got around to playing Heavenly Sword.
This forum hasn't seen a lot of use, other than from the occasional pharmaceutical trolls. That's a shame, when Radio 4 is plagued with 'podcast' repeats, and 'Any Questions?' is so unloved by BBC management on Twitter/X.

Another case in point. This was first broadcast in January, and will inevitably be described as a 'podcast' at some point, along with the ones about witches, yetis, murdered/missing children, murders on the dancefloor, very British cults, and of course conspiracies, as it continues to save the Beeb squidillions... www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001hfzw
